It’s been a snowy weekend. Since Friday we have been having snowfall out here. When the snow falls everything looks so pretty. It’s just picturesque. Kids did not have school, so there was no busy morning kitchen to start the day early for the kids. My husband and I got up to continue with our day, yes, when you work from home you just enjoy the snow from inside the house while ensuring you are in front of your laptop on time, snow or sunshine.
My kids got up excited and took our dog out for a walk in the snow. Once they were back home they were busy connecting with their friends on smartphones. I have started believing that we humans have to be smart to use smartphones wisely, or it’ll consume us.
Over the years have seen that it has affected my daughter’s mental health. I am trying to educate and coach my family on surfing phones over designated times only. Yes, I agree easier said than done, as I as a preacher am not there yet.
During the day, I could sense my daughter’s energy was a bit off. While having breakfast over a hot cup of chai (Indian milk tea) she started opening up with tears in her eyes. I am thankful to the Supreme Power for giving her strength to be wise. Pray to give her the power of will and determination, to stay on her track and not get detoured.
It was nice to hear her speak and I tried my best not to give a solution, but just be someone who has ears for her….
