Calm day today…

I started my day trying to keep my focus on the task which I wanted to accomplish. Starting with making breakfast for my son, as he had been up almost the whole night studying for his exam.

After his breakfast was done and lunch for his school day packed, tried hard to focus on my mindful meditation practice, through which I tried to get in touch with what I was feeling, where I was, and where I wanted to be. I am learning I need to learn to focus, or else I get easily distracted by the external environment and the energy of other people. I am teaching myself to not get affected by other people’s energy and bad moods.

After mindfulness practice, I focused on exercise, and then work.

I had it in my mind to make fresh food for my friends who are currently sick. After lunch and post walking my dog Kaju, I started prepping and preparing dinner, which was Bengali shukto (veggie stew, made with Indian bittermelon and lime chicken, a chicken light stew made with yogurt, green chili, and lime. Made fresh meals and got those delivered by 5.30 pm, yes, we all have early dinner.

Post dinner, I got back to working for the organization I volunteer for. I had an hours worth of work to do today on the organization.

End of the day I feel that I could close more than 70% of the items on my task list. Will keep working to improve my focus and learning. Love and peace to all.
